Top Searches in Google
If you thought the top searches in Google would have
been a product of some description, you might to surprised
to learn that the top searches for 2009 are dominated
by websites including Facebook, BBC, YouTube, Hotmail,
Ebay, Google itself (which is very strange, why use
Google to search for Google?), Yahoo and Bebo - along
with 'games' and 'news'.
Many people used Google as a quick way to get to the
sites that they love by tying in the first few letters
and letting Google do the rest!
So, the top searches for 2009 were; Swine flu, Susan
Boyle, Stephen Gately and Google Maps all were among
the most searched for news items.
Recently died celebrities also topped the searches
with the likes of of Stephen Gately and Michael Jackson.
Former Big Brother star Jade Goody, who died of cancer,
and Robert Pattinson, star of the Twilight movies.
There were even searches for Bing, Google's rival,
but searched for in Google!
